The Cressi Gara 3000 LD Freediving Fins use the same structure as the Gara 3000, but with a softer blade material for long distance use. The Gara 3000 LD is designed identically to the legendary Gara 3000, but what makes them stand out from the original is the softer material of the blade. These fins have emerged from the need to offer enthusiasts increasingly powerful fins, with less demand than the Gara 3000 fins. Less muscle effort is required for kicking, so divers can use them for longer swims, without worry of leg fatigue—LD means long distance. The softer blade is suitable for use in cold water. Cold water is notorious for stiffening fin materials and makes them less flexible. The Gara 3000 LD is an excellent choice for the experienced freediver. Its unique performance characteristics feature a more flexible, lightweight design with a custom fitting foot pocket.
The blades have a medium stiffness that is ideal for freedivers weighing between 175 lbs. and 200 lbs. (79.4 kg to 90.72 kg) that require a balanced stiffness to complement their body weight and a mix of shallow, mid-depth, deeper diving to 100' (30 meters). The fins measure (L x W) 30.7" x 7.5" (780 mm x 190 mm) with a water rail height of 0.4" 10 mm) and a blade angle of 22° degrees. These non-vented full foot long fins are available in multiple sizes.
The Cressi Gara 3000 Fins are sold as a pair.
